When making copies or images of records, newspaper items, etc. do you always make certain you have the entire item
as you are making the copy? It may seem like a waste of time to check, but you don't want to realize days later that you left off the last three lines of a newspaper clipping or accidentally cropped off the right hand edge of a document.
Recently, I saw a man in the archives making a copy of only ONE card from his ancestor's Confederate service record. That was sufficient for him, but no telling what he missed by not reading the whole file.
